Most of our work is within an hour of Leicestershire. For larger projects, we travel — and we travel properly.

Why anybody would bring a team from Leicestershire. Usually because they have struggled to find somebody locally who will build it the way they want it built. Design and build under one roof is less common than it should be, and finding a contractor who will explain what they are doing below ground is harder still. Where that is the problem, distance is worth solving.

How working away actually works. The same team travels. We do not hire local labour when we arrive, because the whole point of employing our own people is that we know how they build.

The team stays near site for the duration and works longer continuous stretches rather than travelling daily, which usually means a nationwide project runs to fewer, longer visits than a local one.

What it costs.

Accommodation and travel are itemised in the quote rather than buried in the rate, so you can see exactly what the distance is costing you. Materials are generally sourced locally to site, which keeps haulage down.

What we need from a project for it to make sense.

It has to be a full garden build or a pool project rather than a single element — the travel cost cannot be justified on a patio. Reasonable access matters more than usual, because problems are harder to solve at distance. And we will want a proper site visit before quoting, which we treat as part of the cost of doing the work rather than something to charge for.

The honest version.

If you are two hundred miles away and want a patio replaced, we are the wrong people and we will tell you so on the phone. If you want a whole garden or a pool built properly and you have not found anybody local who will do it, ring us and we will talk it through.
